Delegates will gain a comprehensive understanding of the Materials Management system, enabling them to implement and use the system in a structured, efficient and cost-effective way.

The delegate will learn to:

  • Create Stock records
  • Handle Consignment, Perishable, COSHH, Tools, Serialised, and Asset Parts
  • Handle items in multiple Locations
  • Create and allocate Suppliers
  • Control all the possible Materials transactions:  Deliveries, Issues, Returns, Transfers, Write-Offs, Adjustments and Stocktakes
  • Control stock levels
  • Run the Re-order Report and Management Reports
  • Configure the Materials module

The Materials Process

A look at the process underlying the Materials Module, and the lifecycle of a stock item.

Navigation and Lookups

The basic skills for operating the software.

The Parts Catalogue

Searching for items;  creating Stores and Bins;  adding new items;  a detailed look at a Part record and the types of Parts;  viewing and adding images and attaching Documents.

Parts Transactions

Taking deliveries; issuing Parts to a Person, Work Order, Work Subject, or Cost Centre, or for later use;  returning Parts to Store;  transferring items to another Bin or Store;  adjusting a Quantity;  writing off deteriorated items;  Occasional and Continuous Stocktaking;  viewing Parts due for re-order.
